Chenin Blanc is widely known as the white grape varietal of South Africa with 17890 Ha planted making up 18% of the South Africa’s total vineyard composition.  Normally use as rebate wine for distilling Chenin Blanc is often miss interpreted as “a grape only good for making spirits”
Perfectly balanced vines are harvested beginning of March at 23o Balling for optimal ripeness.  These vines are planted in clay soils on the bank of the Gamka River.  Trellised east west facing rows ensure grapes ripen slowly and homogeneously. Selected bunches are handpicked early morning to ensure berries arrive cool at the cellar.
Hand harvested, sorted, cooled and pressed the juice was left to its own account to ferment naturally in 3 x 300 Liter old French Oak Barrels for 10 months.  Without disturbing nature this wine was made from nature by nature to bring you Chenin Blanc in its most natural form unfiltered and unfined.
