De Krans Wine Cellar, situated in Calitzdorp along the Route 62, has received a 5-star rating for its Muscat Blanc 2022 in the latest edition of the authoritative and internationally recognized Platter’s by Diners Club South African Wine Guide 2023, due for release this month. Furthermore, this wine was also named Dessert Wine of the Year. The results were announced on Thursday, 17 November at an event held in Cape Town, which was attended by producers and media. In the latest round of industry awards, De Krans Wines excelled in both the Rosé Rocks Competition and Ultra Value Wine Challenge. The standout wine was the De Krans Premium Moscato Perlé Rosé 2022, which was not only awarded Sparkling of the Year at the Ultra event, but also received a Double Gold medal. The same wine also took home Gold at the Rosé Rocks Competition. The De Krans Pinotage Rosé 2022 was awarded Gold at both events, and the De Krans Free-Run Chenin Blanc 2022 was a Gold medal winner at the Ultra Challenge.
