As one of South Africa’s leading port producers, De Krans Wines’commitment to producing quality products has yet again been acknowledged by the South African Wine & Cellar Classifications, which saw De Krans being recognized as one of the Top 10 Cape Port producers over the past 10 years (2012 – 2021). Two of De Krans’ wines were included on this prestigious, namely the Touriga Naçional and Tritonia Red. Win your weight in wine with Calitzdorp photo competition during the Calitzdorp Blossom Weekend How to Enter: Anyone is allowed to enter, no cost involved, except employees of any of the participating wineries in Calitzdorp, or their direct family. 1 & 2 September 2018 Make your way to De Krans Wine Cellar in Calitzdorp for the annual Blossom Festival which takes place over the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of September. This time of the year the fruit trees, in particular the apricot and peach trees, are in full bloom and it is truly a sight to behold. The Spring blossoms traditionally indicate the start of the season for the fruit and wine industries. Visitors to De Krans will be able to experience this beautiful sight for themselves as well as enjoy a few more exciting offerings during the weekend: Kickstart your Saturday with the Vineyard Fun Run.

What better way than to spend a day or evening dining under the vines, enjoying great food and wine and embracing the charms of small town living? Join us for one of our unique long table lunches/dinners at De Krans Bistro & Deli. Meals paired with De Krans wines are prepared by our resident chef Shannon, while guests are joined by either MD Boets Nel or winemaker Louis van der Riet. Be sure to diarise the annual Blossom Festival (Bloeiselfees), which will take place on the 1st of September 2018 at De Krans. Bring your friends and family and celebrate the first day of spring.  Be ready to feast your eyes on the beautiful peach and apricot blossoms while participating in the photography competition.
