For the 4th year in a row the De Krans Pinotage Rosé has been awarded the prestigious Double Gold medal at the 2021 Rosé Rocks Competition. This year the award was bestowed on the 2021 vintage.  This competition is the first of its kind in SA which is entirely dedicated to Rosé and seeks to not only acknowledge excellence in Rosé winemaking but also to in effect, promote the category in SA. De Krans Wines has reaffirmed its position as one of SA’s leading port producers, adding the title of 2021 SA Champion Port to its long list of prestigious accolades. This award was bestowed to the producer at the recent 2021 SA Young Wine Show, and this is the third time in four years that De Krans has been given the trophy. The SA Young Wine Show dates back to 1833, when it was held for the first time by the Cape of Good Hope Agricultural Association (now Agri-Expo) in Rondebosch. An annual awards event, the competition gives winemakers the opportunity to showcase the best wines of the current vintage.  In

This statement was reaffirmed with three of its wines receiving a score of 90+ by revered UK authority Tim Atkin MW, in his highly anticipated annual review of South African wines.  This year’s top scorer went to the Cape Vintage Reserve 2019, which scored an impressive 95 points.
