Celebrate summer with the award-winning De Krans Pinotage Rosé 2022

Summer in a glass. This perfectly describes the award-winning De Krans Pinotage Rosé 2022. Each sip you take you are met with a refreshing, crisp acidity and fruit character of red fruit flavours such as strawberries and candyfloss on the palate. Made for everyday enjoyment this wine can be enjoyed on its own or paired with summer salads and seafood dishes, like cob, seafood paella, seared tuna, or a snoek or salmon terrine.

Rosé as a wine style is still one of the most popular in the wine industry with the De Krans Pinotage Rosé, one of the fastest growing lines in their portfolio, similarly growing in popularity. Whether it is the appeal of the decadent blush pink colour or the perfect belance between fruit and acidity, the De Krans Pinotage Rosé definitely understood the assignment. The consistent quality in a bottle was also acknowledged, when in 2022, the wine scooped Gold medals in no more than five industry competitions. These included Rosé Rocks, The Ultra Value Wine Awards, Gold Wine Awards, Rosé Wine & Spirit Challenge, and the Vitis Vinifera competition.

While De Krans Wines is traditionally known for producing stellar port-styled wines, over the years this region has become a force to be reckoned with when it comes to producing quality dry, still wines.

Having moved from Cabernet Sauvignon to Tinta Barocca grapes for their Rosé, De Krans Wines finally settled on Pinotage three years ago and has not looked back since. The ever-loyal Pinotage grape is not only a wonderful representation of our South African wine heritage, but the grape also embraces the Rosé and elevates the style of wine to new heights when it comes to flavour profile. The De Krans Pinotage Rosé forms part of their Classic Varietal Range, which also includes Free Run Chenin Blanc, Wild Ferment Chardonnay and Basket Press Cabernet Sauvignon.
